The Continental CRD2NE is a compact, traditionally styled gas insert designed for homeowners who want to put an existing fireplace back to work. Rather than maintaining a wood fire or leaving an older fireplace unused, the CRD2NE provides convenient gas heat while retaining the familiar look of a log fire.

Its oak log set and integrated ember-bed lighting are important parts of the design. The lighting adds colour and depth beneath the logs and can remain on even when the flames are off, allowing the fireplace to provide some visual ambience without producing a full fire.

With output up to 21,000 BTU, the CRD2NE is better suited to comfortable supplemental heating than trying to overpower the room with heat. A standard blower helps distribute that warmth, while the included PF2 remote controlmakes everyday operation simple.
