The Pacific Energy FP30 LE sits at the top of the company’s zero-clearance wood fireplace lineup and is designed for homeowners who need substantial heating capacity from a true built-in fireplace. Its 3.0-cubic-foot firebox is significantly larger than the FP25 and is intended for large rooms and homes where wood will contribute meaningful heat throughout the winter. Pacific Energy currently rates the FP30 platform for spaces up to approximately 3,000 sq. ft., depending on insulation, layout, climate and installation conditions.

The FP30 accepts logs up to 20 inches and uses north-south loading, allowing firewood to sit front-to-back in the firebox. This makes loading the larger firebox easier and reduces the likelihood of logs rolling toward the glass when the door is opened. Its oversized 246-square-inch viewing area is substantially larger than the FP16 and FP25, making the fire much more visually prominent in a large living room or great room.

Underneath is Pacific Energy’s catalytic-free combustion system with Extended Burn Technology (EBT). The fireplace incorporates a floating heavy-gauge steel firebox, 304 stainless-steel baffle components, multi-port secondary-air injection, integrated heat exchanger, boost air and simple single-lever combustion control. Two 80 CFM temperature-actuated blowers are standard, helping move heat from the fireplace enclosure into the room. An optional powered Heat Distribution System can also transfer heat through dedicated ducting to isolated rooms elsewhere in the home.

Customers can choose between the clean contemporary FP30 LE and the more traditional FP30 Arch LE. For homeowners wanting an even stronger architectural statement, the FP30 Arch LE can be equipped with Pacific Energy’s optional Craftsman Surround, adding substantial traditional trim around the arched firebox opening. The Craftsman Surround is specifically designed for the FP30 Arch LE and cannot be added to the standard contemporary FP30 LE. This gives us two very different ways to use the same large heating platform: modern and understated, or traditional and substantial.
