The Pacific Energy NEO 1.6 LE is designed for customers who want the performance of a serious wood stove without the traditional appearance of legs, pedestal bases, or cast-iron detailing. Its tall, contemporary profile raises the firebox higher off the floor, making loading more comfortable and putting the flame closer to the natural line of sight when you’re sitting in the room. Pacific Energy currently positions the NEO 1.6 LE for small-to-medium heating applications.
Inside, the NEO 1.6 LE uses a 1.6-cubic-foot firebox with east-west loading and a recommended 16-inch log length. Its 173-square-inch glass viewing area is particularly impressive for a stove in this size class and is noticeably larger than the viewing area on several of Pacific Energy’s more traditional compact models. An air wash system helps keep that glass cleaner during normal operation, while boost air assists with easier cold starts.
The contemporary exterior doesn’t mean Pacific Energy has changed its basic heating philosophy. Underneath is a solid-steel floating firebox, 304 stainless-steel baffle and combustion components, multi-port secondary combustion air injection, integrated heat exchanger and catalytic-free combustion system. The integrated finned heat exchanger is an important part of the NEO design, helping transfer heat from the stove into the room rather than relying on appearance alone to differentiate it.
Where the NEO really earns its place beside the Vista and Alderlea line up is design flexibility. Side panels are available in metallic-black steel, stainless steel, or porcelain enamel in Black, Evergreen, Ivory, Midnight Blue, Modern Desert and Sunset Red. For a homeowner with a contemporary renovation, modern cottage or newer open-concept home who doesn’t want a traditional-looking wood stove, the NEO 1.6 LE offers a much more architectural alternative while keeping Pacific Energy’s straightforward catalytic-free operation.
Putting the warmth in winter, the sizzle in summer, and the pizzazz in patios!.
