The Pacific Energy NEO 2.5 LE is the larger sibling to the NEO 1.6 LE and is intended for homeowners who want contemporary styling with substantially more heating capability. Pacific Energy currently positions it for larger spaces, making it a better fit when the smaller NEO 1.6 simply does not have enough firebox capacity for the home. 

Its current published technical data lists a 2.2-cubic-foot firebox, 18-inch maximum log length and east-west loading. Pacific Energy recommends 17-inch firewood for easier everyday use. The stove is rated for up to 85,000 BTU using cord wood, with standardized testing showing heat output approaching 60,000 BTU per hour. Pacific Energy also lists the model for spaces up to approximately 2,000 sq. ft. in its NEO literature, although actual performance will depend on insulation, layout, chimney draft and climate. 

The NEO 2.5 LE uses Pacific Energy’s catalytic-free combustion system with Extended Burn Technology (EBT). A floating steel firebox, 304 stainless-steel baffle and combustion components, integrated heat exchanger, boost air and a single air-control system are all designed to keep operation relatively straightforward. The heavy plate-steel top also incorporates a removable cast-iron trivet over the cooking surface, which is a useful feature for customers who want the stove to do more than simply heat the room. 

Like the smaller NEO, the exterior can be customized with metallic-black steel, stainless steel or porcelain-enamel side panels. Pacific Energy currently shows Black, Evergreen, Ivory, Midnight Blue, Modern Desert and Sunset Red among the available finishes. This makes the NEO 2.5 LE a particularly strong choice for modern homes, contemporary renovations and customers who need serious wood heat but simply do not want a traditional-looking stove.
