Pacific Energy rates this platform for spaces up to approximately 3,000 square feet, although actual heating capacity will depend heavily on insulation, layout, ceiling height, climate and chimney performance.

With recommended 18-inch firewood and capacity for logs up to 20 inches, the Summit Classic LE is intended for homeowners who burn regularly rather than occasionally. The firebox uses north-south loading, which allows logs to be placed front-to-back and makes it easier to fill the larger firebox without having firewood roll toward the glass. Pacific Energy lists an approximate maximum burn time of 9 to 12 hours, with actual results varying based on draft, fuel quality, loading and user settings.

Like the standard Summit LE, the Classic model uses catalytic-free combustion with Extended Burn Technology (EBT). Pacific Energy combines this with a 304 stainless-steel baffle, rails and flame shield, boost air for easier lighting, a single-lever air control and its floating-firebox construction. The result is a large wood stove that remains relatively straightforward to operate despite its heating capability.

Where the Summit Classic LE really separates itself is appearance. Pacific Energy offers porcelain-enamel body finishes along with three leg finishes, three arched-door finishes and two decorative trivet choices. The current product page shows Black, Evergreen, Ivory, Midnight Blue, Modern Desert and Sunset Red body options, although finish availability can change by market and production period. The ash-disposal system is included on the Classic model, and an optional temperature-actuated variable-speed blower can improve heat circulation through larger rooms.
