The Pacific Energy Summit Insert LE is the largest model in the Traditional wood insert lineup and is built for homeowners with larger masonry fireplaces and genuinely higher heating demands. Pacific Energy positions it for large rooms and spaces up to approximately 3,000 sq. ft., depending on insulation, layout, climate, chimney performance, and installation conditions.

Its 2.5-cubic-foot firebox accepts logs up to 20 inches and uses north-south loading, making the larger firebox easier and safer to fill. Pacific Energy recommends 16-inch firewood for everyday use and lists up to roughly 10 hours of controlled burn time with Extended Burn Technology. A 153-square-inch glass viewing area gives the Summit a strong visual presence without sacrificing heating capacity.

The Summit Insert LE uses Pacific Energy’s catalytic-free combustion system with Extended Burn Technology (EBT), along with a high-capacity baffle, 304 stainless-steel internal components, boost air for easier lighting, floating-firebox construction, and a single-lever air control. Two temperature-actuated variable-speed blowers are standard and help move heat out of the fireplace cavity and into the room, which is especially important on an insert of this size.

Finishing options include metallic black, nickel, or brushed-nickel arched doors, along with a 50 3/8″ × 32 1/4″ standard surround or 54 3/8″ × 34 1/4″ oversize surround. A cast-iron warming shelf and ash lip are standard. For a customer choosing between the Super and Summit inserts, the Summit makes sense when the home truly needs the extra firebox capacity, longer burn potential, and higher heat output—not simply because it is the biggest model available.
