The Traeger Woodridge Pro takes everything that makes the standard Woodridge easy to live with and adds features that become more valuable the more often you barbecue. The biggest physical difference is capacity: the Pro expands from 860 square inches on the regular Woodridge to 970 square inches of total cooking space, giving you more room for larger cuts, multiple proteins, or feeding a crowd without moving into Traeger’s premium Ironwood or Timberline families.
The most important cooking upgrade is Super Smoke® Mode. The standard Woodridge already gives you genuine wood-pellet flavour, but the Pro gives you additional control when smoke is a bigger part of the recipe. Super Smoke is designed for lower-temperature cooking, making it particularly useful during the early stages of brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and other barbecue where you want to build a stronger smoke profile before finishing the cook.
Traeger also adds Keep Warm Mode, which is one of those features that sounds minor until dinner runs twenty minutes late. Instead of trying to time every side dish and guest arrival perfectly, Keep Warm lets the grill hold cooked food at a serving-friendly temperature until you are ready. The integrated pellet sensor is another worthwhile upgrade, allowing you to check the remaining pellet level through the Traeger App rather than opening the hopper halfway through a long cook.
The physical workstation is better as well. The Woodridge Pro adds a folding side shelf and lower storage shelf, giving you considerably more room for trays, utensils, sauces, and prep work. You still get Traeger’s P.A.L.® Pop-And-Lock accessory rail, so additional shelves, hooks, storage bins, and compatible accessories can be added around the grill as your setup grows.
Everything we like about the base Woodridge carries over. WiFIRE® connectivity lets you monitor and adjust compatible functions from the Traeger App, the EZ-Clean™ Grease & Ash Keg simplifies routine cleanup, and the ModiFIRE® system gives you additional cooking-surface options. The hopper also retains its convenient clean-out system for changing pellet flavours.
Compared with the regular Woodridge, the Pro is the better choice for someone who smokes frequently rather than simply wanting a pellet grill for general-purpose cooking. The additional 110 square inches of space is useful, but Super Smoke Mode, the pellet sensor, extra workspace, and Keep Warm Mode are what really justify moving up. If you mostly cook burgers, chicken, pizza, and the occasional rack of ribs, the standard Woodridge remains excellent value. If brisket and pulled pork regularly occupy your weekends, the Pro starts making considerably more sense.
Putting the warmth in winter, the sizzle in summer, and the pizzazz in patios!.
