Description

-
- More room for bigger meals – The 648-square-inch cooktop gives you substantially more space than the 2-Burner for family breakfasts, smash burgers, fajitas, stir-fries, and entertaining.
- Four independent heat zones – Four burners let you run different temperatures across the griddle so you can sear, sauté, warm, and finish food at the same time.
- Simple, powerful propane cooking – With 48,000 BTU of output, no electrical connection, and built-in wind protection, the IronTop is easy to use almost anywhere on the patio.
Overview
The Traeger IronTop 4-Burner is built for the customer who likes the simplicity of the smaller IronTop but regularly needs more room. Its 648 square inches of cooking space stretches across a 36-inch by 18-inch cooktop, giving you enough surface area for large breakfasts, multiple batches of smash burgers, stir-fries, steak and vegetables, or feeding a crowd without constantly rotating food on and off the griddle.
The biggest upgrade over the IronTop 2-Burner is not just size—it is control. Four independently controlled burners let you create multiple heat zones across the cooktop. One section can be running hot for searing, another at medium heat for vegetables, and another lower for warming buns or finished food. That flexibility becomes especially useful when you are cooking an entire meal outside instead of just one ingredient.
Total burner output increases to 48,000 BTU per hour, while Traeger continues to use a burner layout designed to provide more even heat across the cooking surface. Built-in 360° wind guards help protect the burners from changing outdoor conditions and keep more heat directed toward the cooktop instead of letting it escape around the edges.
The griddle surface receives Traeger’s rust-resistant, food-safe coating, which is applied and heat-treated at the factory. Proper cleaning and seasoning are still part of owning any steel flat top, but the coating is intended to help make maintenance more manageable while developing a smooth cooking surface over time.
For workspace, the IronTop 4-Burner includes one stationary side shelf and one folding side shelf, giving you room for trays, ingredients, utensils, and finished food. The P.A.L.® Pop-And-Lock rail also allows compatible hooks, storage, and other accessories to be added to the workstation. A reinforced hinged lid protects the cooktop when the griddle is not being used, while grease and food debris are directed into a single collection bucket for easier cleanup.
Compared with the IronTop 2-Burner, the reason to move up is simple: more capacity and more temperature zones. The 2-Burner remains a great fit for smaller households or tighter patios. The 4-Burner makes more sense if you regularly entertain, meal-prep in larger batches, or want enough room to cook several parts of the meal at once without crowding the surface.
