The Traeger Woodridge is the starting point of the current Woodridge lineup, but calling it an entry-level pellet grill undersells what you are actually getting. It combines 860 square inches of cooking space, WiFIRE® connectivity, a digital controller, and Traeger’s EZ-Clean™ system in a grill designed to make wood-fired cooking approachable for someone who wants convenience without giving up versatility.
With a cooking range up to 500°F, the Woodridge can handle much more than traditional low-and-slow barbecue. Smoke a pork shoulder or brisket, roast a chicken, bake a pizza, cook vegetables, or turn up the temperature for burgers and everyday grilling. Like other Traeger pellet grills, the Woodridge automatically feeds hardwood pellets into the firepot and manages the cooking temperature for you. Choose your temperature, give the grill time to settle in, and let it do its job.
One of the biggest improvements in this generation is how the grill fits into everyday use. The EZ-Clean™ Grease & Ash Keg brings grease and pellet ash together in an accessible container beneath the cooking chamber, reducing some of the mess traditionally associated with pellet-grill maintenance. Built-in staging hooks give you somewhere to hang the grates while cleaning, while the hopper clean-out makes switching between pellet flavours much easier.
WiFIRE® connectivity adds another layer of convenience. Once connected to your home Wi-Fi network and the Traeger App, you can monitor the grill and compatible cooking functions from your phone. A wired meat probe is included for tracking internal food temperature, and the controller is also compatible with Traeger Bluetooth® wireless meat thermometers if you want to expand your setup later.
Traeger also gives the Woodridge room to grow with you. The P.A.L.® Pop-And-Lock accessory rail lets you add compatible shelves, hooks, bins, and other accessories where they make sense for the way you cook, while ModiFIRE® cooking surfaces provide additional options directly on the grill.
The regular Woodridge is our starting point for comparing the rest of this series. It is best suited to the customer who wants a large, connected Traeger with easy cleanup and plenty of cooking capacity, but does not necessarily need advanced smoke settings, additional storage, extra insulation, or a separate high-heat side cooking station. As we move through the Woodridge lineup, those are the types of upgrades that start to appear.
Putting the warmth in winter, the sizzle in summer, and the pizzazz in patios!.
