The Traeger Woodridge Elite sits at the top of the Woodridge lineup, and this is where the upgrades move beyond extra storage and convenience. It retains the 970 square inches of cooking space, Super Smoke® Mode, Keep Warm Mode, pellet sensor, WiFIRE® connectivity, folding prep shelf, and enclosed lower cabinet found as you move up through the Woodridge family, but adds two features that materially change how the grill can be used: an integrated side sear station and added insulation.
The biggest difference from the Woodridge Pro Plus is the side sear station. Pellet grills are excellent at smoking, roasting, baking, and controlled indirect cooking, but their 500°F maximum chamber temperature is not the same as concentrated high heat from a dedicated burner. The Elite solves that by giving you a separate cooking surface for searing steaks, sautéing vegetables, simmering sauces, or working with cast iron while the pellet grill handles the rest of the meal. For someone who wants one outdoor cooker to handle almost everything, this is a meaningful upgrade rather than another accessory.
Traeger also adds grill-body insulation, making the Elite the strongest Woodridge choice for customers who plan to cook throughout the year. That is particularly relevant in New Brunswick. Insulation does not make January feel like July, but it helps reduce heat loss and gives the grill a better chance of maintaining consistent cooking temperatures in colder or windy conditions. The Woodridge Elite still operates from approximately 180°F to 500°F, so you can move from low-and-slow smoking through roasting, baking, and higher-temperature grilling.
Super Smoke® Mode remains one of the key reasons to choose the upper Woodridge models. Use it when you want to increase smoke exposure during lower-temperature cooks such as brisket, ribs, pork shoulder, or smoked poultry. Keep Warm Mode helps when the food finishes ahead of the guests, while the integrated pellet sensor lets you monitor the remaining hopper level through the Traeger App. WiFIRE® connectivity also allows compatible grill settings and temperatures to be monitored remotely.
The Elite retains the enclosed storage cabinet found on the Pro Plus, so pellets, tools, thermometers, liners, and other cooking accessories can stay with the grill instead of migrating back and forth from the house. The EZ-Clean™ Grease & Ash Keg collects grease and pellet ash in an accessible container beneath the grill, while P.A.L.® Pop-And-Lock and ModiFIRE® compatibility allow the workstation and cooking surfaces to be customized further.
Compared with the Woodridge Pro Plus, the reason to move up to the Elite is performance and versatility, not extra grill capacity. Both offer the same 970 square inches of cooking space. Choose the Pro Plus if your priority is premium pellet smoking with enclosed storage. Choose the Elite if you also want a dedicated high-heat cooking station and better cold-weather construction. For customers who want the most capable Woodridge without stepping into the Ironwood or Timberline families, the Elite is the one to look at.
